**PS:** The webiste has been up for a while and I realize that even this computer-crashing amount of dots is too small. The given number describes the officially confirmed deaths, and there are [other estimates](https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-deaths-estimates) that place the true more than three times as high. I have changed the wording to reflect that.
